  • INSPECTIONS 
    • Safety Hazards – Inspections are conducted for the purpose of uncovering safety hazards. The documentation used to define safety hazards is the Consumer Product Safety Commission Handbook for Public Playground Safety, Publication 325 and ASTM F 1487-05: Standard Consumer Safety Performance Specification for Playground Equipment for Public Use.
    • Qualifications-All inspections will be performed by a Certified Playground Safety Inspector certified by the National Playground Safety Institute.
    • Inspected Environment – Play equipment, surfacing, fencing, signs and general environment.
    • Report – The report is a complete, photo documented, written report. Reports can also be provided via email or on a CD upon request. Playground Inspection Professionals, LLC guarantees your report will be completed within one week of inspection. The report includes;
      • A description of the overall condition of the playground site. This includes consideration of adjacent and nearby potential for dangerous conditions.
      • An inventory of all playground equipment. Each component will be assessed and reported on. You will know if each specific piece is OK or not.
      • Assessment of use zones surrounding all equipment.
      • Assessment of surface material.
      • Assessment of hazards including identification, classification based on potential injuries, and recommended fixes.
      • Inventory report which serves as documentation for High Frequency Inspections.
  • AUDITS 
    • Audits are conducted for the purpose of determining compliance with the Consumer Product Safety Commission Handbook for Public Playground Safety, Publication 325 and ASTM F 1487-05: Standard Consumer Safety Performance Specification for Playground Equipment for Public Use. This is much more involved than an inspection.
    • The 2008 version of the Consumer Product Safety Commission Handbook for Public Playground Safety, Publication 325 specifically states that an inspection should be performed for all new playgrounds after construction is completed and before the playground is opened.
    • Community Builds – in the case of community builds it is essential that an inspection be performed as stated in the CPSC handbook.

    • Class 1 Hazard Review (from Site) – we will contact you from the site upon completion of the inspection/audit to discuss Class 1 hazards.
    • Report Delivery – your written report will be delivered
    • Review – we will review the report with you at a mutually determined time.
